
Modifications included the Tickford body kit which consisted of a blanked off grille, flat wheel trims, side skirts and a deep front spoiler. Engine mods included an IHI turbo charger and Garrett intercooler mounted on a special manifold. The vehicle had electronic ignition and special tuning. the rear axle was located by an 'A' frame while the rear springs had spacers in them.. A limited slipped diff was an option before it became standard on the 2.8I. The rear brake drums were replaced with solid discs.
Interior: Luxury with a veneered walnut dash and leather trim plus an option of a full leather interior with Wilton carpeting. Electric windows, a stainless steel exhaust system and Pirelli P7 tyres completed the 'look'. This was all protected by a sophisticated alarm system.

Tickford were to build 100 Tickford Capri's but as we know the bottom dropped out of the Capri market as the hot hatches took over.

It is reputed that some of the 100 2.8's were never converted but were sold off as a Tickford Capri because the Tickford name was on the log book. Have you got one of these 'unconverted' 2.8's??
