The All Capri club was founded early in 1990 as the Mid Warwickshire Capri Club the name was later changed as it became a National Club
The club was very successful winning lots of accolades at show etc.
However times change.
In those heydays there were many more Capri's around.
Production of the Capri had finished in 1996 with the Brooklands special edition so some of the 2.8i's and the Laser special editions in the club at that time were less than 8 years old.
During the 90's there were Capri clubs in almost every area of the UK.
Over the later years Capri's have disappeared from our roads and only the 'diehard' enthusiasts now own one, however here is still a huge following for the Capri - The Car you always promised yourself.
Our Capri's are:- 1969 1600 XL auto
1971 1600XL manual
1977 3000 Ghia auto
We are enthusiasts working for enthusiast
The All Capri Club members still enjoy the show scene jointly with the Capri Mk1 REGISTER
The Capri Mk1 REGISTER has its own website .
To see Mk1 history and pictures of cars that have survived plus much more go to www.caprimk1register.com there is also a Facebook link.
We were asked to start a REGISTER by owners of the Capri mk1 during the late 90's, we agreed and on January 1st 1999 the Capri REGISTER was born.
Since then we have built up an historical account of the surviving Capri Mk1's, with a vast archive of related information. We do not share this information without owners consent or list vehicle registration umbers on line.
We know there are still more many more Mk1 Capri's that are still undocumented and we would like to add these to the Capri MK1 REGISTER archive documents.
So if you own a Capri MK1 send in the details of your car now.
We will help you source parts, through our network of suppliers, though it is getting ever harder to find Capri Mk1 spares.
Our dedicated club magazine 'Capri Style' is issued every 3 months.
There are many discounts available to club members, for example club members buying any insurance through Footman James will be able to claim a 10% discount, Capri Spares and Haynes books plus many more companies also offer Capri Mk1 REGISTER members a discount on purchases.
The club also offers an Insurance valuation service to members.
